The four star self catering Carpenter's Cottage offers three bedroom, two bathroom holiday accommodation for five people in Derbyshire, not only close to all the attractions of the National Park, but within walking distance along the Derwent River to Matlock

Standing by the mill stream looking down the Lumsdale valley, Carpenter's Cottage combines charming character with abundant features to give a relaxing holiday. The Derbyshire Dales offers breathtaking views, rolling hills, quiet lanes, cycling trails plus the historic beauty of stately homes and architectural heritage. It is situated close to Matlock with all its shops and restaurants, plus the Masson Mill designer outlets.

Carpenters Cottage is 4 star accredited by the Visit England Tourist Board and is located in a sensitively converted 18th century flour mill complex. It is ideal for walking and cycling in the Derbyshire countryside.

The self-catering Cottage offers excellent accommodation. It sleeps up to 4/5 people in three bedrooms. The master bedroom has two single beds, which can be easily made into a double and has an ensuite with electric shower, toilet and basin. The second bedroom has a double bed with space on both sides. The third bedroom has a single bed. The main bathroom has a bath with an overhead shower. The Cottage is warm with central heating throughout and also has a free standing electric coal fire effect heater in the lounge. There is a fully equipped kitchen plus a separate light and spacious lounge/dining room. There are two designated off road private car parking bays.

Close by are:

  • Matlock, Heights of Abraham and Matlock Bath including the park, shops, restaurants and pubs.
  • Scenic villages and historic towns like Ashbourne, Buxton and Bakewell.
  • Many walks, cycling trails, factory shops, fishing, golf, country gardens, steam railways and canals.
  • Derbyshire and the National Park/Peak District plus the stately homes (e.g. Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall) of Derbyshire
